New watchOS 10 Beta Version: More Features and Improved User Interface
- Apple provides developers with the fourth beta version of the upcoming watchOS 10 update
- New features in watchOS 10 include widget focus, control center access, and mental health integration
- Developers can download and install the beta version through the Apple Watch app
Apple has today released the fourth beta version of an upcoming watchOS 10 update to developers for testing purposes. The new software comes two weeks after the third beta. To install the update, developers need to open the Apple Watch app, go to the "General" section in settings, select "Software Update" and activate the watchOS 10 Developer Beta. An Apple ID linked to a developer account is required. Once the beta version is activated, watchOS 10 can be downloaded from the same section. The Apple Watch needs to have at least 50 percent battery and be placed on a charger to complete the download.
watchOS 10 offers a completely new widget-focused user interface. With the Digital Crown, you can now access a stack of widgets on any watch face view and swipe to get relevant information. The control center can be activated from any app by pressing the side button. These new quick access controls allow for watch faces that show less information while still having everything you need at hand. In addition, there are new watch faces like Palette and Snoopy, as well as updates for cycling and hiking recordings. The Apple Watch can now also record the user's mood and emotions, providing insights into mental health over time.
